Indications
Yin (yang-deficiency) oedema: oedema worse in the lower body, a cold sensation, abdominal distension and fullness, scanty urination, loose stools, and no thirst.
Tongue & Pulse
Tongue: pale and swollen with a white greasy coat. Pulse: deep, slow and weak.
Modifications
With marked Kidney yang deficiency, combine with Zhen Wu Tang.
Cautions & Contraindications
Warming and drying; for yang-deficiency oedema, not damp-heat oedema.
