Ingredients

Actions & Functions

  • Tonifies the qi and blood and strengthens the Spleen
  • Nourishes the Heart and calms the spirit; governs the blood (stops bleeding)

Indications

Heart-Spleen deficiency: palpitations, anxiety, insomnia, poor memory, fatigue, poor appetite, and chronic bleeding such as heavy or prolonged menstruation.

Tongue & Pulse

Tongue: pale with a thin white coat. Pulse: thin and weak.

Modifications

Add Chai Hu and Zhi Zi (Jia Wei Gui Pi Tang) when there is constraint with heat.

Cautions & Contraindications

Cloying; use with care in much damp or phlegm.
