Indications

Blood heat with reckless bleeding: coughing or vomiting of bright-red blood, nosebleed, with a dry mouth, a flushed face and thirst.

Tongue & Pulse

Tongue: red or deep red. Pulse: wiry and rapid (or flooding).

Modifications

A short-term formula; once bleeding settles, address the underlying pattern.

Cautions & Contraindications

For bleeding from heat; the cooling Ai Ye use here differs from its usual warming role – not for deficiency-cold bleeding.
