Indications

Uterine bleeding and excessive menstruation from cold and deficiency; cold menstrual pain and infertility; restless fetus; and as the material for moxibustion.

Dosage

3-9 g in decoction.

Common Combinations

With E Jiao and Dang Gui (Jiao Ai Tang) for cold uterine bleeding.

Cautions & Contraindications

Use with caution in yin deficiency with heat and in bleeding from heat.
