Indications

Bleeding from heat (coughing of blood, nosebleed, blood in stool/urine, uterine bleeding); Lung heat cough with thick phlegm; and premature hair loss and greying (topical).

Dosage

6-12 g in decoction; external use as a wash/tincture.

Common Combinations

With Sheng Di and Ai Ye (Si Sheng Wan) for bleeding from heat.

Cautions & Contraindications

Use with caution in bleeding from deficiency-cold.
