Indications
Wind-heat or damp-heat skin disorders: red, weepy, intensely itchy rashes (eczema, urticaria, dermatitis) that spread, with weeping or crusting.
Tongue & Pulse
Tongue: red with a yellow or white greasy coat. Pulse: floating and rapid.
Modifications
With marked heat, increase Shi Gao; with marked damp, increase Cang Zhu and Ku Shen.
Cautions & Contraindications
For wind/damp-heat itchy skin; not for chronic dry skin from blood deficiency (use Dang Gui Yin Zi).
