  • Harmonises and resolves shaoyang disorders

Indications

Shaoyang syndrome: alternating chills and fever, fullness of the chest and hypochondrium, poor appetite, nausea, irritability and a bitter taste.

Tongue & Pulse

Tongue: thin white coat. Pulse: wiry.

Modifications

With marked Stomach heat and thirst, remove Ban Xia and add Tian Hua Fen; widely modified.

Cautions & Contraindications

Use with caution in Liver-yang/fire rising and in deficiency without a shaoyang pattern.
