Indications
Early-stage yang (hot) sores and abscesses: red, hot, swollen and painful sores, before they ulcerate, possibly with chills and fever.
Tongue & Pulse
Tongue: red with a thin white or yellow coat. Pulse: rapid and forceful.
Modifications
Use a sustainable substitute for Chuan Shan Jia (pangolin is protected).
Cautions & Contraindications
For early-stage yang sores; not after ulceration or for yin-type cold sores. Caution in pregnancy.
