Indications

Chronic painful obstruction with mixed cold-heat: swollen, hot yet aching deformed joints, worse with cold but with local heat, and emaciation.

Tongue & Pulse

Tongue: greasy coat. Pulse: wiry or soggy.

Modifications

Adjust warming and cooling herbs to the cold-heat balance.

Cautions & Contraindications

Contains Ma Huang and prepared Fu Zi - use correct doses; caution in pregnancy.
