- Sheng Di, E Jiao, Bai Shao, Mai Men Dong, Huo Ma Ren, Gan Cao (nourish yin/blood)
- Sheng Mu Li, Sheng Bie Jia, Sheng Gui Ban (three shells, anchor yang/extinguish wind)

Indications
Severe yin depletion stirring wind: tremor and twitching of the limbs, palpitations, a parched mouth, deafness, emaciation, and a faint, rapid pulse, in the late stage of febrile disease.
Tongue & Pulse
Tongue: deep red, dry, with little coat. Pulse: thin, rapid and faint.
Modifications
For the most extreme cases, Da Ding Feng Zhu adds egg yolk and Wu Wei Zi.
Cautions & Contraindications
For empty (deficiency) wind; not for excess wind or phlegm.
