Ingredients

Actions & Functions

  • Clears Stomach fire
  • Nourishes the Kidney and Stomach yin

Indications

Stomach fire with yin deficiency: toothache and swollen, bleeding gums, headache, thirst, and a dry mouth; also wasting-thirsting disorder.

Tongue & Pulse

Tongue: red and dry with a yellow coat. Pulse: floating, slippery and forceless (or rapid).

Modifications

With marked bleeding, add Di Yu or other cooling haemostatics.

Cautions & Contraindications

For combined Stomach heat and yin deficiency; not for Stomach cold.
