Indications
Liver fire invading the Stomach: hypochondriac and epigastric pain, acid regurgitation, belching, a bitter taste, nausea, and irritability.
Tongue & Pulse
Tongue: red with a yellow coat. Pulse: wiry and rapid.
Modifications
With marked acid, add Hai Piao Xiao and Wa Leng Zi.
Cautions & Contraindications
For Liver-fire/Stomach heat; not for acid from Stomach cold.
