Indications
Stomach deficiency with phlegm and rebellious qi: frequent belching, hiccup, regurgitation or vomiting, and epigastric focal distension.
Tongue & Pulse
Tongue: white slippery coat. Pulse: wiry and weak (or slippery).
Modifications
With more heat, add Huang Lian; with more cold, add more Sheng Jiang.
Cautions & Contraindications
For deficiency with rebellious qi/phlegm; use Dai Zhe Shi cautiously in pregnancy.
