Indications
Lung yin deficiency: a chronic dry cough with scanty or blood-streaked sputum, a dry mouth and throat, weight loss, and fatigue (consumptive-type cough).
Tongue & Pulse
Tongue: red with little coat. Pulse: thin and rapid (or weak).
Modifications
Taken long-term as a nourishing syrup.
Cautions & Contraindications
Cloying; use with caution in Spleen deficiency with damp and poor appetite.
