Indications
Warm-dryness damaging the Lung: a dry hacking cough with little or no sputum, dyspnoea, a dry throat and nose, thirst, and chest fullness.
Tongue & Pulse
Tongue: red and dry with little coat. Pulse: rapid and weak (or thin and rapid).
Modifications
With blood-streaked sputum, add cooling haemostatics.
Cautions & Contraindications
For warm-dryness with some heat; not for cold-dryness or damp cough.
