Indications
Phlegm-heat clumping: focal distension and fullness of the chest and epigastrium that is painful on pressure, a stifling sensation, cough with thick yellow sputum, and constipation.

Tongue: yellow greasy coat. Pulse: slippery and rapid.
Modifications
For more severe clumping, larger chest-draining formulas are used.
