Ingredients

  • Clears qi-level heat and drains fire

Indications

Warm disease with qi-and-blood heat: high fever, irritability, thirst, and red or purple maculae/rashes appearing on the skin.

Tongue & Pulse

Tongue: deep red. Pulse: rapid and forceful (or flooding).

Modifications

With marked blood-level heat, move toward Xi Jiao Di Huang Tang.

Cautions & Contraindications

For qi-and-blood heat rashes; not for rashes from deficiency or wind.
