• Qing Hao & Huang Qin – chief; Zhu Ru, Ban Xia, Chen Pi, Zhi Ke (transform phlegm/move qi)
• Fu Ling, Bi Yu San (Hua Shi/Gan Cao/Qing Dai)

• Clears Gall Bladder heat and damp-heat
• Harmonises the Stomach and transforms phlegm-damp

Damp-heat in the shaoyang: alternating chills and fever (fever worse), a bitter taste, a stifling chest and epigastrium, nausea or vomiting of bitter or sour fluid, and irritability.

Tongue: red with a greasy white or yellow coat. Pulse: wiry, slippery and rapid.

With marked heat, increase Huang Qin.

For damp-heat shaoyang; not for cold or pure deficiency.
