Ingredients

Actions & Functions

  • Clears Gall Bladder heat and damp-heat
  • Harmonises the Stomach and transforms phlegm-damp

Indications

Damp-heat in the shaoyang: alternating chills and fever (fever worse), a bitter taste, a stifling chest and epigastrium, nausea or vomiting of bitter or sour fluid, and irritability.

Tongue & Pulse

Tongue: red with a greasy white or yellow coat. Pulse: wiry, slippery and rapid.

Modifications

With marked heat, increase Huang Qin.

Cautions & Contraindications

For damp-heat shaoyang; not for cold or pure deficiency.
