Ingredients

Actions & Functions

  • Tonifies the qi and blood
  • Warms the Spleen and stops excessive uterine bleeding

Indications

Qi and blood deficiency with cold: sudden heavy uterine bleeding or chronic flooding and trickling, with pale watery blood, a wan complexion, dizziness, and cold limbs.

Tongue & Pulse

Tongue: pale. Pulse: thin, weak or faint.

Modifications

Once bleeding settles, follow with qi-and-blood tonics.

Cautions & Contraindications

For deficiency-cold bleeding; not for bleeding from blood heat or stasis.
