Indications

Liver qi stagnation: hypochondriac and flank distension and pain, a stifling chest, frequent sighing, belching, irritability, and emotional depression.

Tongue & Pulse

Tongue: thin white coat. Pulse: wiry.

Modifications

With heat from constraint, add Zhi Zi and Mu Dan Pi.

Cautions & Contraindications

Acrid and drying; use with caution in yin/blood deficiency.
