Indications

‘Dry blood’ stasis from chronic deficiency: abdominal masses, emaciation with a sallow-dark complexion, rough scaly skin, dry dull eyes, and amenorrhoea.

Tongue & Pulse

Tongue: dark or purplish. Pulse: choppy or thin.

Modifications

Taken slowly as pills over time, not as a strong purge.

Cautions & Contraindications

Contains blood-breaking insects - contraindicated in pregnancy; use under supervision.
