Indications

Combined taiyang-shaoyang pattern: mild fever and chills, joint and body aches, a stifling chest and hypochondrium, nausea, and a poor appetite. Also used for some chronic pain and epigastric conditions.

Tongue & Pulse

Tongue: thin white coat. Pulse: wiry or floating.

Modifications

Widely modified in modern practice for pain and Stomach disorders.

Cautions & Contraindications

For combined exterior-shaoyang patterns; not for interior heat excess.
