Ingredients

Actions & Functions

  • Clears Heart and Small Intestine heat
  • Nourishes yin and promotes urination

Indications

Heart heat transmitting to the Small Intestine: irritability, a red face, thirst, mouth and tongue ulcers, and hot, painful, dark urination.

Tongue & Pulse

Tongue: red (especially the tip). Pulse: rapid.

Modifications

Add Huang Lian for marked Heart fire. Use Chuan Mu Tong only.

Cautions & Contraindications

Use with caution in Spleen-Stomach deficiency-cold.
