This is the Yuan-Source point of the Stomach channel. It harmonises the Stomach, calms the spirit and benefits the foot.
Location
On the dorsum of the foot, at the highest point, in the depression between the second and third metatarsal bones and the cuneiform, where the dorsalis pedis artery pulsates.
Anatomy
Between the long extensor tendons; the dorsalis pedis artery; the deep and superficial peroneal nerves.

Indications
Stomach pain and poor appetite, facial paralysis, mania, and pain, swelling and weakness of the foot.
Needling
0.3-0.5 cun, perpendicular insertion, avoiding the artery.
Moxibustion Suitability
Suitable for moxibustion.
Point Combinations
With ST-36 to harmonise the Stomach; with ST-41 for foot disorders.
