This is the Jing-River and Fire point of the Stomach channel. As the tonification point it clears heat, calms the spirit and is the principal local point for the ankle.
Location
On the anterior aspect of the ankle, in the depression at the centre of the front of the ankle joint, between the tendons of extensor digitorum longus and extensor hallucis longus.
Anatomy
Between the extensor tendons; the anterior tibial artery and vein; the superficial and deep peroneal nerves.

Indications
Pain and swelling of the ankle, foot drop, headache and dizziness, mental-emotional disorders, abdominal distension and constipation, and red eyes.
Needling
0.5-0.8 cun, perpendicular insertion.
Moxibustion Suitability
Suitable for moxibustion.
Point Combinations
With Qiuxu and the surrounding ankle points for ankle disorders; with ST-44 for Stomach heat.
