Ingredients

Actions & Functions

  • Clears lingering heat and generates fluids
  • Tonifies the qi and harmonises the Stomach

Indications

Lingering qi-level heat with qi and fluid damage: low-grade fever, irritability, thirst, a dry mouth, nausea, and fatigue during recovery from a febrile illness.

Tongue & Pulse

Tongue: red with little coat. Pulse: weak and rapid.

Modifications

With marked Stomach heat and nausea, increase Zhu Ru.

Cautions & Contraindications

For lingering heat with deficiency; not for full-strength heat excess or damp.
