Indications
Yin deficiency with marked deficiency fire: afternoon flushes and night sweats, bone-steaming fever, sore weak lower back, nocturnal emission, and a dry mouth.
Tongue & Pulse
Tongue: red with little coat. Pulse: thin and rapid.
Modifications
For the eyes use Qi Ju Di Huang Wan instead; for Lung-Kidney deficiency, Mai Wei Di Huang Wan.
Cautions & Contraindications
Cloying; use with caution in Spleen deficiency with poor appetite.
