Ingredients

Actions & Functions

Indications

Wasting-thirsting (xiao ke) from qi and yin deficiency: marked thirst with copious drinking, frequent copious urination, fatigue, and a dry mouth.

Tongue & Pulse

Tongue: red and dry. Pulse: weak (or thin and rapid).

Modifications

Combine with yin tonics for marked Kidney involvement.

Cautions & Contraindications

For qi-yin deficiency wasting-thirst; manage diabetes with appropriate medical care.
