Indications

Profound qi and blood deficiency with cold: marked fatigue and pallor, cold limbs, spontaneous sweating, dizziness, poor appetite, and slow recovery from illness or surgery.

Tongue & Pulse

Tongue: pale with a white coat. Pulse: thin, weak and frail.

Modifications

For convalescence, may be taken over an extended period.

Cautions & Contraindications

Warm and cloying; not for yin deficiency with heat or where heat signs are present.
