Indications
Spleen yang deficiency with phlegm-fluid: fullness of the chest and epigastrium, dizziness, palpitations, shortness of breath, a splashing sound in the stomach, and cough with thin watery sputum.
Tongue & Pulse
Tongue: swollen with a white slippery coat. Pulse: slippery or wiry.
Modifications
With more cold, add Gan Jiang; with marked palpitations, add Long Gu and Mu Li.
Cautions & Contraindications
Warming; not for phlegm-heat or yin deficiency.
