Ingredients

  • Warms and tonifies the Kidney
  • Moistens the Intestines and unblocks the bowels

Indications

Constipation from Kidney deficiency: difficult bowel movements with no great abdominal fullness, clear copious urination, a sore weak lower back, and cold intolerance, often in the elderly or postpartum.

Tongue & Pulse

Tongue: pale with a white coat. Pulse: deep and weak (or slow).

Modifications

With marked cold, add a little Rou Gui.

Cautions & Contraindications

For Kidney-deficiency constipation; not for heat or excess constipation.
