Indications

Wind-phlegm obstructing the orifices: stroke with a stiff tongue and inability to speak, a phlegm rattle, a stifling chest, and dizziness.

Tongue & Pulse

Tongue: white greasy coat. Pulse: slippery.

Modifications

For phlegm-heat, add heat-clearing herbs; manage stroke as a medical emergency.

Cautions & Contraindications

For phlegm-obstruction; ensure acute stroke receives emergency care.
