Ingredients

Actions & Functions

  • Tonifies the Spleen and Stomach qi
  • Raises the sunken yang qi (lifts prolapse)

Indications

Sinking Spleen qi: fatigue, low voice, poor appetite, prolapse (uterus, rectum, stomach), chronic diarrhoea, and fever from qi deficiency.

Tongue & Pulse

Tongue: pale with a thin white coat. Pulse: weak (especially in the middle position).

Modifications

With marked prolapse, increase Huang Qi, Sheng Ma and Chai Hu.

Cautions & Contraindications

Not for fever from yin deficiency or excess heat.
