This is the Yuan-Source point of the Triple Burner channel. It benefits the wrist, harmonises the three burners and clears heat.
Location
On the dorsum of the wrist, at the transverse crease, in the depression on the ulnar side of the extensor digitorum communis tendon.
Anatomy
On the ulnar side of the extensor digitorum tendon; the dorsal carpal arterial network; the dorsal branch of the ulnar nerve and the posterior antebrachial cutaneous nerve.

Indications
Pain of the wrist and arm, deafness, febrile disease, malaria, thirst (wasting and thirsting disorder), and dry mouth.
Needling
0.3-0.5 cun, perpendicular insertion.
Moxibustion Suitability
Suitable for moxibustion.
Point Combinations
With SJ-5 for wrist disorders; with SJ-3 for the ear.
