This is the Luo-Connecting point of the Liver channel. It resolves damp-heat in the lower burner, benefits the genitals and is a principal point for genital itching and abnormal vaginal discharge.
Location
On the medial aspect of the lower leg, 5 cun proximal to the prominence of the medial malleolus, on the medial border of the tibia.
Anatomy
On the medial surface of the tibia; the great saphenous vein and posterior tibial vessels; the saphenous nerve.

- Resolves damp-heat in the lower burner
- Spreads Liver qi and benefits the genitals
- Regulates menstruation
Indications
Genital itching and swelling, abnormal vaginal discharge, irregular menstruation, difficult or painful urination, hernia, and a sensation of a lump in the throat (plum-stone qi).
Needling
0.3-0.5 cun, transverse or oblique insertion along the tibia.
Moxibustion Suitability
Suitable for moxibustion.
Point Combinations
With SP-6 and SP-9 for abnormal vaginal discharge; with LV-3 to spread Liver qi.
