Xiabai (LU-4), “Guarding White”, descends Lung qi and regulates the heart and chest, and is used for cough and fullness of the chest.
Location
On the anterolateral aspect of the upper arm, 4 cun inferior to the anterior axillary fold (1 cun inferior to LU-3), on the radial side of the biceps brachii muscle.
Anatomy
Biceps brachii muscle; the cephalic vein and branches of the brachial artery; the lateral antebrachial cutaneous nerve and the musculocutaneous nerve.

Indications
Cough, asthma, fullness and oppression of the chest, and pain of the inner arm.
Needling
0.5-1.0 cun, perpendicular insertion.
