Tianfu (LU-3), “Palace of Heaven”, is one of the Window of Heaven points. It descends Lung qi, benefits the nose, and calms mental restlessness.
Location
On the anterolateral aspect of the upper arm, 3 cun inferior to the anterior axillary fold, on the radial side of the biceps brachii muscle.
Anatomy
Biceps brachii muscle; the cephalic vein and branches of the brachial artery; the lateral antebrachial cutaneous nerve and the musculocutaneous nerve.

Indications
Asthma, epistaxis (nosebleed), mental restlessness and disorientation, and pain of the shoulder and inner arm.
Needling
0.5-1.0 cun, perpendicular insertion.
Moxibustion Suitability
Suitable for moxibustion.
Point Combinations
With LU-7 and LI-4 for epistaxis; with HT-7 for mental restlessness.
