This is the Luo-Connecting point of the Large Intestine channel, connecting with the Lung. It regulates the water passages and benefits the ear, nose and face.
Location
On the radial aspect of the forearm, 3 cun proximal to the wrist crease (LI-5), on the line connecting LI-5 and LI-11.
Anatomy
Between the tendons of extensor carpi radialis longus and brevis; the cephalic vein and radial artery branches; the superficial radial nerve and lateral antebrachial cutaneous nerve.

- Clears heat from the channel
Indications
Oedema and difficult urination, tinnitus and deafness, epistaxis, facial swelling, toothache, and pain of the forearm.
Needling
0.3-0.5 cun, perpendicular or oblique insertion.
Moxibustion Suitability
Suitable for moxibustion.
Point Combinations
With LU-7 for facial and nasal disorders; with SP-9 for oedema.
