Kidney 15 (KI 15) Zhong Zhu 中注 — Central Flow

Location

On the lower abdomen, 1 cun inferior to the umbilicus, 0.5 cun lateral to the anterior midline (lateral to REN-7).

Anatomy

On the rectus abdominis; the inferior and superior epigastric arteries; the tenth intercostal nerve.

Indications

Irregular menstruation, lower abdominal pain, constipation, and diarrhoea.

Needling

0.8-1.2 cun, perpendicular insertion.

Moxibustion Suitability

Suitable for moxibustion.

With ST-25 and REN-6 for abdominal and intestinal disorders.
