Kidney 14 (KI 14) Si Man 四滿 — Fourfold Fullness

Location

On the lower abdomen, 2 cun inferior to the umbilicus, 0.5 cun lateral to the anterior midline (lateral to REN-5).

Anatomy

On the rectus abdominis; the inferior epigastric artery; the tenth and eleventh intercostal nerves.

Indications

Irregular menstruation, dysmenorrhoea, infertility, lower abdominal pain and masses, and oedema.

Needling

0.8-1.2 cun, perpendicular insertion.

Suitable for moxibustion.

Point Combinations

With REN-4 and SP-6 for menstrual disorders.
