This is the Jing-Well and Metal point of the Gall Bladder channel and the last point of the channel. It clears heat, subdues Liver yang, benefits the eyes and ears and calms the spirit.

Location

On the lateral side of the fourth toe, approximately 0.1 cun proximal to the corner of the nail.

Anatomy

The nail bed of the fourth toe; the dorsal digital artery; the dorsal digital nerve.

Indications

Headache and red eyes, tinnitus and deafness, sore throat, febrile disease, insomnia and dream-disturbed sleep, and hypochondriac pain.

Needling

0.1 cun shallow insertion, or prick to bleed.

Moxibustion Suitability

Suitable for moxibustion.

Point Combinations

With GB-20 for headache; with HT-7 for insomnia.
