Location

On the hip, at the midpoint between the ASIS and the prominence of the greater trochanter.

Anatomy

On the tensor fasciae latae and gluteus medius; the superficial and deep circumflex iliac arteries; the superior gluteal nerve.

Indications

Pain and motor impairment of the hip and thigh, and lower back and leg pain.

Needling

1.0-1.5 cun, perpendicular insertion.
