On the lower back, 1.5 cun lateral to the lower border of the spinous process of the fifth lumbar vertebra (L5).

On the erector spinae; the lumbar artery; the dorsal rami of the lumbar/sacral nerves.

Indications
Lower back pain, abdominal distension, diarrhoea, frequent or difficult urination, and enuresis.

0.8-1.2 cun, perpendicular insertion.
