Indications
Blazing heat with qi/fluid damage: high fever, profuse sweating, intense thirst with copious drinking, irritability, fatigue, and a big but forceless pulse; also wasting-thirsting with marked thirst.
Tongue & Pulse
Tongue: red and dry. Pulse: flooding but forceless (or rapid and weak).
Modifications
Use Xi Yang Shen for more pronounced fluid damage.
Cautions & Contraindications
For heat with qi/fluid damage; not for deficiency-cold or where there is no genuine heat.
