Ingredients

Actions & Functions

  • Nourishes the Lung yin and clears heat
  • Stops cough and bleeding; calms wheezing

Indications

Lung yin deficiency with heat: a chronic dry cough with scanty or blood-streaked sputum, wheezing, a dry sore throat, and a feeling of heat, especially in children.

Tongue & Pulse

Tongue: red with little coat. Pulse: thin and rapid.

Modifications

Use a safe substitute for Ma Dou Ling (aristolochic-acid concerns) where required.
