Ingredients

Actions & Functions

  • Tonifies the Spleen qi
  • Regulates the qi and harmonises the Stomach

Indications

Spleen-Stomach qi deficiency with qi stagnation: poor appetite, epigastric and abdominal fullness, loose stools, and fatigue, especially in children.

Tongue & Pulse

Tongue: pale with a thin white coat. Pulse: weak.

Modifications

A gentle step up from Si Jun Zi Tang; add Ban Xia for Liu Jun Zi Tang.

Cautions & Contraindications

For Spleen qi deficiency; not for yin deficiency or heat.
