Ingredients

Actions & Functions

  • Tonifies the qi and strengthens the Spleen
  • Dries dampness and transforms phlegm

Indications

Spleen qi deficiency with damp-phlegm: fatigue, poor appetite, loose stools, nausea, a stifling chest, and cough with white sputum.

Tongue & Pulse

Tongue: pale with a white greasy coat. Pulse: weak (or slippery).

Modifications

Add Mu Xiang and Sha Ren (Xiang Sha Liu Jun Zi Tang) for qi stagnation with pain.

Cautions & Contraindications

For Spleen qi deficiency with damp; not for yin deficiency with heat.
