Shang Han Liu Shu, 1445

• Fu Zi, Gan Jiang, Rou Gui (rescue/warm yang)
• Si Jun Zi base (Ren Shen, Bai Zhu, Fu Ling, Gan Cao); Chen Pi, Ban Xia, Wu Wei Zi, She Xiang (trace)

• Rescues devastated yang and warms the middle
• Tonifies the qi and revives the pulse

Severe yang collapse: cold limbs, aversion to cold with a curled posture, lethargy or collapse, vomiting and diarrhoea, and a faint or absent pulse.

Tongue: pale with a white slippery coat. Pulse: faint, deep and on the verge of expiring.

An emergency formula; ensure conventional emergency care.

For true yang collapse; not for heat with false-cold. Use prepared Fu Zi.
