Indications
Liver-Kidney yin deficiency with Liver qi stagnation: hypochondriac and epigastric pain, a dry mouth and throat, acid reflux, and a bitter taste.
Tongue & Pulse
Tongue: red and dry with little coat. Pulse: thin and wiry, or weak.
Modifications
With marked heat, add Zhi Mu; with insomnia, add Suan Zao Ren.
Cautions & Contraindications
Cloying; use with caution where there is much damp or phlegm.
