Indications
Chronic wind-damp painful obstruction with deficiency: heavy, painful, weak lower back and knees, stiffness, and difficulty moving, worse with cold.
Tongue & Pulse
Tongue: pale with a white coat. Pulse: thin and weak (or slow).
Modifications
With marked cold, increase the warming herbs; with more heat, reduce Rou Gui and Xi Xin.
Cautions & Contraindications
Use the safe Xi Xin in small dose; caution in pregnancy.
